Payment Terms
Effective date: July 26, 2026 · Last updated: September 2, 2026 · Version 1.1
Published policy — legal review pendingThese Payment Terms explain how payments work when a business connects a payment provider through The Pro Station, a service operated by Gigamajig Inc. ("we", "us", "The Pro Station"). They apply in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Two payment lanes
There are two different kinds of payment here, with different merchants and different responsibilities:
- Payments to The Pro Station. Setup fees, recurring monthly service or platform fees, website purchases, add-ons, and Pro Station Studio work are transactions with Gigamajig Inc. We are the service provider for those charges; we invoice them, and we handle their refunds and disputes ourselves.
- Payments to a connected business. When a customer pays a business that uses The Pro Station, that business is the merchant of record and receives the money directly. We are not a party to that sale.
Everything below about merchants of record, refunds, and disputes refers to the second lane unless it says otherwise.
What The Pro Station provides
The Pro Station provides payment-connection and website technology. We help a connected business present its own payment options on a website built with our tools. We are a technology provider — not a payment processor, bank, or money transmitter.
The connected business owns its payment account
- Each connected business uses its own Stripe or PayPal account.
- The connected business is the merchant of record for its own customer transactions.
- Customer payments go directly to the connected business's own Stripe or PayPal account.
The Pro Station does not handle your money
Gigamajig Inc. and The Pro Station do not receive, hold, pool, delay, or route a connected business's customer service revenue. Funds settle directly between the customer, the payment provider (Stripe or PayPal), and the connected business's own provider account under that provider's terms.
The connected business's responsibilities
The connected business is solely responsible for its own customer transactions, including:
- the products and services it offers, and their fulfillment;
- pricing, taxes, and receipts;
- cancellations, refunds, and disputes;
- compliance with applicable laws and regulatory obligations.
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy and Dispute & Chargeback Guidance for how those situations are handled.
Payment is not the same as a confirmed appointment
A successful payment does not automatically confirm an appointment. A booking request, a payment, and a confirmed appointment are separate states. A connected business may require additional steps to confirm scheduling, and a payment on its own does not guarantee availability, a time slot, or a completed booking.
When payment functionality may be unavailable
Payment features may be unavailable, limited, or paused where:
- payment-provider onboarding is not complete;
- the business's payment account is restricted by its provider;
- the payment area of the site has not been approved for live use;
- platform safety or compliance requirements are not met.
Where a payment feature is shown in a preview or sandbox state, no live payment is processed.
Provider terms, availability, and fees
- Payment availability and processing are subject to the terms of Stripe and PayPal, and to those providers' review, approval, and uptime.
- Stripe and PayPal are independent third-party payment providers; they are not owned or operated by us. We do not control their verification, approval, or risk decisions, and we cannot override a restriction a provider places on an account. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services.
- Provider fees may apply directly to the connected business under its agreement with Stripe or PayPal.
- No platform transaction fee is currently charged by The Pro Station on customer payments, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Availability of live payments
Live payment features require provider approval and explicit activation, and may be limited, paused, or suspended. Where a payment feature is shown in a preview or sandbox state, no live payment is processed.
Payment-support questions
For questions about how payments work on The Pro Station, or a technical issue with a payment connection, contact us via our Contact & Support page or at [email protected]. For questions about a specific charge from a connected business — including a refund or cancellation — contact that business directly, since it is the merchant of record.
