Published policy — legal review pendingThis page explains how payment disputes and chargebacks work for transactions made through The Pro Station, a service operated by Gigamajig Inc. A dispute or chargeback happens when a customer questions a charge with their bank or payment provider.
Start with the business
If you are a customer with a question or concern about a charge, contact the merchant / business first. Most issues can be resolved directly and quickly with the business that provided the product or service.
The connected business handles its own disputes
- The connected client business sells through its own Stripe or PayPal account and handles disputes through its own Stripe or PayPal dashboard.
- Stripe or PayPal controls the formal dispute process, including deadlines, evidence submission, and the final outcome.
- The Pro Station does not submit evidence or decide disputes for client businesses.
What The Pro Station may show
The Pro Station may display safe dispute status information to the connected business — for example, that a dispute exists and its current provider-reported status — so the business can respond through its provider. This is read-only status information; it is not the dispute process itself, and it does not let The Pro Station act on a dispute.
The connected business remains responsible
The connected client business remains responsible for:
- keeping its own records and transaction history;
- fulfillment evidence (proof the product or service was delivered);
- communication with the customer and the provider;
- meeting the payment provider's dispute deadlines.
What The Pro Station may do
- We may display dispute status and operational guidance to the connected business.
- We may suspend a payment area or a business's payment access where payment risk, a provider restriction, or a compliance requirement calls for it. Suspension disables access; it does not move, hold, or reverse anyone's money.
- We do not guarantee the outcome of any dispute. Stripe, PayPal, and the card networks decide disputes, not us.
Disputes about a Pro Station charge
If the charge in question was paid to Gigamajig Inc. for the Pro Station product, setup, or Studio work, that one is ours: we are the merchant for those charges and we handle the dispute directly. Contact us at [email protected] before filing a chargeback and we will try to resolve it with you.
Technical platform issues only
If you are a connected business and you have a technical issue with the platform — for example, dispute status is not displaying correctly — contact us via our Contact & Support page or at [email protected]. For the dispute itself, work through your Stripe or PayPal dashboard, since the provider owns that process. See also our Refund & Cancellation Policy and Payment Terms.
